It has been a busy spring for a handful of my students! Of the four of them that participated in the American Protégé Competition last year, I had one winner and three honorable mentions. Diana Reig (age 17), was selected as a winner and performed Chaminade's "Pas des Echarpes" (Scarf Dance) in Carnegie Hall on June 17th. Isabella Ketkar (age 8), performed a piano arrangement of Pablo de Sarasate's "Malagueña" Op. 21 at Carnegie's Weill Recital Hall on May 27th. Hanna Saifzadeh (age 14), performed a piano arrangement of the "Carmen Suite" and her sister Tara Saifzadeh (age 14) performed Chopin's "Mazurka in G Minor" Op. 67 No. 2 at Carnegie Hall on May 14th. I'm so proud of everything my students have been accomplishing this year!
