I am proud to announce that my student, Diana Reig (age 16), was selected to participate in the 2022 Juilliard Pre-College Piano Symposium. This is a very prestigious program which offers students a chance to perform and explore classical piano technique, style, interpretation, memorization, and performance practice in a master class setting. Of all the applicants, only twelve were selected.
Diana attends high school at Kent Place, an independent college-preparatory school for girls located in Summit, New Jersey. She has been taking piano lessons for eleven years and has performed in many recitals and master classes. In May 2022, she competed in the American Protégé Competition and was selected as a winner. She will be performing in the 2023 winners recital at Weill Recital Hall located in Carnegie Hall.
This month, she also auditioned at the state level for the National Piano Guild with seven memorized pieces ranging from Baroque to Modern.
I'm so proud of everything Diana has accomplished! She is a joy to have as a student and displays such a unique expressiveness and sensitivity in her performances. I look forward to seeing the great things she will accomplish in her bright future as a pianist!
